Ace your O&G Interview with The OBGYN Hub experts.

Preparing for your interview can feel overwhelming — especially when you only get one shot to impress the panel and secure your dream job. The truth is, success often comes down to how well you prepare — and choosing the right material makes all the difference.
How to choose the right material for your interview preparation:
Not all resources are created equal and generic interview preparation won’t make you stand out. To boost your chances of success and score highly on the interview, you need material that is specific to the Obs & Gynae interview. The material that you use also needs to be realistic, using real-life questions asked in the interviews. This is where we cut through the noise.
Our materials are created by current O&G trainees who’ve been exactly where you are — and scored highly to secure their own training posts. We know what the interviewers are looking for, and we’ll help you deliver exactly that.
Why choose OBGYN Hub for your preparation?
✅ Created by successful O&G trainees
✅ Focused on real interview content
✅ Practical, proven, and results-driven
✅ Trusted by candidates who’ve secured their dream posts
How should you prepare for your interview?
The first step is knowing what to expend. We break this down below:
The Interview consists of two main stations:
1. The Clinical Prioritisation Station and
2. The Structured Interview Station
In the Clinical Prioritisation Station, you will have 5 minutes to review a scenario outlining four patients who require your care. You will be asked to prioritise them, explaining the order in which you would see each patient — first, second, third, and fourth — and the reasoning behind your decisions. You will also need to describe your management plan for each patient.
Our Top Tips:
· Use the initial 5 minutes you are given, to review the scenario you are given, wisely.
· This station is not limited to Obs and Gynae scenarios – don’t be caught out if the scenarios are referring to you as a doctor in A&E, an internal medicine or general surgery ward… The assessment is designed to evaluate the knowledge and skills expected of an FY2 doctor, rather than those of a specialty trainee.
· Remember that scenarios are intended to assess your ability in problem-solving, organisation, clinical knowledge, and patient safety.
In the Structured Interview Station, which follows on from the Clinical Prioritisation Station, you will have approximately 9 minutes to answer a rapid-fire round of questions. This station tests your motivation, achievements, and broader experience — from research and teaching to leadership and teamwork.
Our Top Tips:
· Time is limited, so it is important to practise your responses to common interview topics in advance.
· Your answers should be confident and concise.
· Remember to showcase your strengths — highlight your key selling points, positive attributes, and clearly communicate why you are an ideal candidate for the role.
